Leading cascade system with natural refrigerant in Benelux

The Ostend auction house and flake ice machines were entirely replaced with natural CO² and NH3 refrigerants.

Our partner in Benelux, Crionovo BV the first to have produced ice without a chiller. It installed a cascade system with natural refrigerants to produce flake ice at the Ostend seafood auction house. 23 cubic metres of Geneglace flake ice can be produced in 24 hours. Geneglace also provided an orbital 5-tonne silo that fills quickly so the ice never ages and forms blocks. The machines run on R717, from a natural circulation tank, called a thermosyphon.
